Following the February 2026 AfC declines, I substantially rewrote and shortened the draft around independent coverage. The notability case does not rely on county officeholding alone. Official-biography, press-release, résumé-style, and unsupported personal material was removed.

The strongest sources are:

Trevor Bach, Miami New Times (January 27, 2015) — a long-form profile covering Regalado's background, media work, school-board tenure, policy record, and political controversies.
Douglas Hanks, Miami Herald (August 1, 2024) — a detailed review of her first county-commission term, campaign finance, UDB vote, development record, and septic policy.
Sarah Gonzalez, WLRN/StateImpact Florida (December 23, 2011) — substantial reporting on Regalado and disability-access policy.
Brady Dennis, Kevin Crowe, and John Muyskens, The Washington Post (May 22, 2024) — independent national reporting describing her septic-policy role in detail.
