Notability and sourcing improvements for resubmission
[edit]I realized how the experimental/ambient music niche makes Wikipedia notability harder to prove, because even well-regarded artists in this space don't always get mainstream press. I've been checking other pages to understand what may be useful as a reliable and useful source to satisfy Wikipedia criteria. The first that comes to my mind is Piero Scaruffi's database, which is cited as a source for notability for other avant-garde and experimental musicians. 15questions.net has covered Luca's work in depth and for multiple times. It is an independent and internationally recognized music journalism site. Blow Up (Italy's most respected music magazine) has written multiple reviews and articles over the years. Exposé Online — Exposé reviewed Art Spaces Vol. 1 and analized the work in detail. Palazzo Grassi (one of Italy's most prestigious art institutions) invited him to perform one of his works. He was also invited by the Sound in Museums as a featured speaker at this international conference in Portugal in 2025. I think this kind of academic/institutional recognition also matters. Do you think these entries would be useful for showing his notability? Thank you!
Notability and sourcing statement
[edit]This resubmission addresses prior notability concerns under WP:NMUSIC and WP:GNG. The draft now cites multiple independent, reliable English-language sources with significant coverage:
- Stars’ End – in-depth reviews of *Subterraneans*, *For Sundays When It Rains*, and *Cloud Ornament*.
- Psychedelic Baby Magazine – review of *Intra-* (2021).
- ChainedLK – detailed review of *Cloud Ornament* (2024).
- AllMusic – genre and style overview.
- Palate Press – feature article connecting Formentini’s music and winemaking.
- KLOF Magazine – feature on *I Am Ghosts* (2024).
Tone has been neutralized: all evaluative statements are attributed to published sources. Self-citations and Wikipedia references have been removed. Discography has been fact-checked via Discogs for release data.
Per WP:NMUSIC, the subject has significant coverage in multiple independent, reliable sources. This draft should now meet inclusion criteria. Silvia Dalle Montagne (talk) 00:15, 12 August 2025 (UTC)
Request for review – fixed filter issue and updated sources
[edit]Hello,
This draft was previously auto-declined by the filter due to a Wikipedia self-citation and an external link formatting issue. Both have now been fixed.
Removed all Wikipedia-as-a-source citations Converted “Dark Companion Records” to a proper <ref> Added multiple independent reliable sources (Stars’ End, Psychedelic Baby, ChainedLK, AllMusic, Palate Press, KLOF) Neutralized tone and verified discography via Discogs Meets WP:NMUSIC and WP:GNG Requesting human review at your earliest convenience.
Thank you! Silvia Dalle Montagne (talk) 00:35, 12 August 2025 (UTC)
