[edit]Notability
[edit]Regarding the notability tag, Stowasser is a recipient of the Polar Medal. Under WP:ANYBIO, a person is likely to be notable if they have received a "well-known and significant award or honor".
The Polar Medal is a British state honour. Under the current Royal Warrant, it may be awarded to people who have made "conspicuous contributions to the knowledge of Polar regions" or rendered prolonged service of outstanding quality in support of such knowledge, while undergoing the hazards and rigours of the polar environment.[1]
Given the nature and criteria of the award, I think Stowasser's receipt of the Polar Medal provides a reasonable basis for notability. GeorgeTed1952 (talk) 11:08, 29 September 2026 (UTC) GeorgeTed1952 (talk) 11:08, 29 September 2026 (UTC)
