Noting
[edit]This draft was created by the article subject per advice by other Wikipedians, see Wikipedia:Teahouse#Find_a_Wikipedia_Editor_to_post_content and User_talk:Magical_Women#A_WP-article_about_you. Hopefully we can get it into WP-shape, time will tell. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 05:58, 27 March 2026 (UTC)
May have some relevance here, though it's not quite on the mark, this article is not about an org. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 10:52, 27 March 2026 (UTC)
Citations
[edit]This is a full citation for the July 2019 article in Genii. The title is different from that shown as citation #4 currently. The archive link is not the full article but the title page.[1]
I've added a citation for most of the "early life" section from Magic Seen. A copy of that article is on the website at connieboydmagic but can't be linked as it is likely a copyvio. It is entirely an interview, so no use for notability but fine for WP:ABOUTSELF. I think that there will be enough to show notability but it would certainly help if User:Magical Women could provide scans of the key non-interview articles. - I'd like to see the book review if possible. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 16:27, 27 March 2026 (UTC)
- Do you mean the book review by Genii Magic Magazine, the Magic Circular and Reader Views? Where or how do I send those to you for review? Magical Women (talk) 16:35, 27 March 2026 (UTC)
- Reader views review is here That website does seem to be by professional reviewers, not random internet anons. Mike Turnbull (talk) 17:11, 27 March 2026 (UTC)
- I meant Genii, . Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 17:17, 27 March 2026 (UTC)
- I have created a Google drive file and I am compiling the content there. I have included 4 reviews, Genii, the Magic Circular, Reader Views and Reedsy as well as other content. Please let me know if there is anything more you need and I will add it there. Here is the link:

- I will work on copying and scanning the original documents. Where do I post those? Magical Women (talk) 16:34, 27 March 2026 (UTC)
- Wikipedia doesn't allow posting or even linking to copyrighted material. I've emailed you to the address on your website so you can directly share the copies offline or share a Google drive URL with me privately. Mike Turnbull (talk) 17:07, 27 March 2026 (UTC)
- I have many original newspaper articles, if there is something specific you are looking for. Here is a link to a Google drive file with some of the content I have noted. Please let me know if this is sufficient.

- Thank you VERY MUCH for your help. Magical Women (talk) 19:39, 29 March 2026 (UTC)
- I've downloaded and reviewed all these files, thanks. This is going to be tricky, I think. Most of the details used in the draft come from sources which are based on interviews: that's fine for uncontroversial facts but don't contribute to notability. I'd have liked to see contemporary newspaper reports on e.g. the fall at the circus, which I'd have expected to attract independent commentary. Similarly, the cover of the 1989 magazine looks significant (Ringo Starr was on the previous edition!) but we don't have the text from inside that magazine which presumably is where the significant coverage would be. I'll let User:Gråbergs Gråa Sång comment on the book reviews but even if these are useful we need some high-quality sources back to the earlier parts of the career to get over the line, IMO. - I expect to take a look this week. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 10:23, 6 April 2026 (UTC)
- I just added a Readers' Favorite 5 star mini critique of "The Power of Magical Women" book. Magical Women (talk) 20:36, 21 April 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks Michael. I will try to see what newspaper content I have & also the article from What's On. I was featured on the cover of another issue of What's On & will look for that as well. I don't have any content from the fall at the Astrodome in Houston which happened in April 1986 (if memory serves me correctly.) I was in the hospital and then on tour with the circus while I recuperated, it was a long time ago. I will keep trying to find high-quality sources. Thank you again. - Hello Mike, I just added more newspaper and magazine content to the google drive file including the What's On Las Vegas magazine article and another cover and feature article in 1991. That's about all I have as far as printed documentation. Magical Women (talk) 21:56, 8 April 2026 (UTC)
