Notable sources & live guide on each parts

@Lovelyfurball: Hi thanks for the feedback. We've been trying to get the draft accepted since 2024, and i am wondering for which parts are insufficient (specifically if you could point them out). Also, i'd like to highlight the three sources that I believe best demonstrate notability.

Shiraishi & Kojima (2014), ASEAN-Japan Relations, ISEAS --> peer-reviewed articles compiled in a book. It covers several activities of the organization related to its mandates.

Lim & Nguyen (2024), East Asia Forum. --> ANU's policy journal is well-regarded and independent

Mizuno (2017), The Japan Times — "AJC: Sole agent in Japan to boost Visit ASEAN@50" --> Mizuno is a named journalist

(+ Honorable mention: The Japan Times (30 March 2015). "Japan's investment helps regional development" (PDF). The Japan Times: ASEAN-Japan Centre. p. 2. ) --> covers the Centre for the whole article.

I'd also like to know if i should remove some citations that are still considered primary, which is relevant to the organization's mandates and activities (not basic information).

If you could point them out that'll be very helpful.

The second Japan Times article ("Japan's investment helps regional development") appears to be a paid promotion of AJC and is hosted in the /ads section of the website Lovelyfurball (talk) 03:03, 7 April 2026 (UTC)

Thank you for your reply & suggestion. I'm not an official employee at the AJC, but I believe that the Centre deserves a Wikipedia page the same way as EU-Japan Centre. I'm wondering if we could keep this as about AJC, while I can also search for other sources that directly talks about the Centre, not just having one to two paragraphs about AJC. How does this sound? Looking at the article for the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation, I'm not sure it meets our notability guidelines as it does not seem to have any secondary sources. If you can point to a couple more reliable, independent sources which cover the AJC itself in depth like the first Japan Times article, then the AJC will be shown to meet WP:NORG. The most important thing is that they cover AJC specifically, not ASEAN-Japan relations more generally. Lovelyfurball (talk) 03:17, 7 April 2026 (UTC)

Hello! thank you for your reply. I am connected to ~2026-21096-17 which was the same account used for this, but did not realize that I was logged into a temporary account. For Byrnachi, is a colleague but as for myself I am not an official full-time employee at AJC rather an ad hoc intern.
