Background
[edit]Zebu is the pet cat of Zaima Rahman, daughter of Tarique Rahman and Zubaida Rahman. The cat lived with the family in London for several years and was regarded as a family companion rather than solely an individual pet. Before travelling to Bangladesh, Zebu resided with the Rahman family during Tarique Rahman’s extended stay abroad.
Arrival in Bangladesh
[edit]Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport after arrival from London.Zebu arrived in Dhaka on Thursday 25th December 2025,travelling from London with Tarique Rahman, his wife Zubaida Rahman, and their daughter Zaima Rahman. The family returned 17 years after being exiled in London since 2008. on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight that landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
Name and etymology
[edit][[A Mughal-era painting commonly associated with Zeb-un-Nissa, the historical figure after whom Zebu was named. The name Zebu was chosen by Zaima Rahman.is inspired by Zeb-un-Nissa (1638–1702), a Mughal princess. She was the daughter of Emperor Aurangzeb.
