Software development

[edit]

Fayyaz began his career in software development in Lahore. In 2010, he worked as part of the development team behind BuddyFlick.com, a Pakistani social networking website launched following restrictions placed on Facebook in Pakistan. The website was covered by The New York Times, Business Recorder, and ProPakistani during discussions about locally developed alternatives to international social media platforms.[1][2][3]

Fayyaz later became associated with Ebuzztoday, a digital services company based in Lahore. In 2015, the company was selected as an online media partner for the Urdu film Bin Roye, a partnership reported by Dispatch News Desk.[5]

Ebuzztoday has also been involved in software-related projects, including digital business identity tools such as vCards and the marketing automation platform Reputr.[6][7][8] Fayyaz has also mentored younger developers on AI-assisted coding, prompting, and agentic workflows, with an emphasis on reviewing and verifying AI-generated code before it is used in software products.[9]

Photography

Fayyaz has worked in commercial and sports photography. His photography has appeared in media coverage related to Pakistani entertainment and lifestyle subjects, including publications such as The Express Tribune and Brandsynario.[10][11]

He has contributed sports photography to the Red Bull Content Pool, including coverage of freestyle football events in Pakistan.[4][12]
