Xiang Yina (Chinese: 向伊娜; born October 30, 2011) is a Chinese artistic gymnast. She is the 2025 Junior World balance beam champion.[2]

Early life

[edit]

Xiang began training in gymnastics at age nine, later than many of her peers.[3]

Junior career

[edit]

At the 2024 National Youth Gymnastics U-Series Championships in Chengdu, Xiang won the silver medal in the all-around and gold on uneven bars as part of the Under 14 division.[4][5]

Xiang competed at the 2025 Chinese Junior Championships, where she finished ninth in the all-around, in addition to receiving the highest balance beam score of the all-around final.[6] That September, she participated in the Chinese Junior National Games, where she qualified for the all-around final and ultimately placed sixth.[7]

Later that year, Xiang competed at the 2025 Junior World Championships, her first international competition.[3] She contributed to China's fourth-place finish with teammates Huang Ziyi and Jiang Shuting.[8] Individually, she received the 15th-highest all-around score in qualification, but was ineligible for the all-around final due to the two-per-country rule.[9] After qualifying to the balance beam final in ninth place, she won the gold medal ahead of Yume Minamino of Japan and Caroline Moreau of the United States.[10][11] She became the second consecutive Chinese athlete to win gold on the apparatus after Yu Hanyue won in 2023.[3]

Xiang was part of the gold-winning Chinese junior team at the DTB Pokal Team Challenge in March of 2026.[12] As an individual, she qualified for the uneven bars final, winning the silver medal.[13]
