Vinod Pathak is an Indian film editor who has worked on Hindi, Punjabi and Marathi films. His editing credits include Phir Bhi Jaane Do Mitro, Red Alert: The War Within, Na Ghar Ke Na Ghaat Ke, A New Love Ishtory, I Love NY, Mahi NRI, Bhangover, Muavza, The Last Right and Hazaar Vela Sholay Pahilela Manus.[1]

Pathak has worked primarily in film editing and post-production. His film credits include Phir Bhi Jaane Do Mitro, Red Alert: The War Within, Na Ghar Ke Na Ghaat Ke, A New Love Ishtory, I Love NY, Mahi NRI, Bhangover, Muavza, The Last Right and Hazaar Vela Sholay Pahilela Manus.[2]

TV Guide lists Pathak as an editor on Red Alert: The War Within, A New Love Ishtory, Mahi NRI, Cheater and Journey of Bhangover, as film editor of I Love NY, and as supervising editor of Chal Mera Putt.[3]

Pathak has also received editorial-department credits as song editor on the Hindi films Ready, Bodyguard and Policegiri.[4]

Mahi NRI

Pathak was one of the editors of the 2017 Punjabi film Mahi NRI, alongside Sanjay Sharma.[5][6]

A contemporary review of the film by journalist Deep Jagdeep Singh discussed the editing by Pathak and Sanjay Sharma, including comments on pacing, dialogue synchronisation and continuity.[7]

Hazaar Vela Sholay Pahilela Manus

In 2024, Pathak served as editor of the Marathi film Hazaar Vela Sholay Pahilela Manus, directed by Rushikesh Gupte. The International Film Festival of India database lists Pathak as the film's editor and records its screening at the Marché du Film during the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.[8]

Pathak's professional filmography also credits him as creative director of the film.[9]

Association of Film & Video Editors

Pathak is a member of the Association of Film & Video Editors (AFVE). The organisation's executive committee lists him as its Honorary General Secretary.[10]
