The product Viking Arm was launched in November 2019 and introduced to the market through industry channels including trade fairs and tool distributors.[1]

[edit]The company’s main product is the Viking Arm, a manually operated mechanical hand tool designed to lift, press, and adjust objects with precision.
The tool is commonly used in:

[edit]Viking Arm has been involved in a patent dispute with the American tool manufacturer Stanley Black & Decker regarding similar lifting tools.
The Norwegian company filed a lawsuit alleging infringement of its patented technology and sought damages and a sales ban.[4]
In 2025, before a final ruling, the parties reached a settlement and entered into a long-term licensing agreement, ending the legal proceedings.[5]
The agreement allows continued commercialization of the technology and provides Viking Arm with licensing revenues.[5]
Licensing agreements
[edit]Following commercialization of its technology, Viking Arm has entered into licensing agreements with other tool manufacturers.
In 2025, the company signed a licensing agreement with the German manufacturer BESSEY Tool, enabling the development of a related one-handed lifting tool marketed as BEYCEPS.[6]
Recognition
[edit]In 2021, the Viking Arm was named Tool of the Year by Canadian Woodworking magazine.[7]
In 2022, Viking Arm AS was awarded Årets gründer i Bærum (Entrepreneur of the Year in Bærum), recognizing its growth and product innovation.[2]
