2021 Region 5 Youth Games Campaign
[edit]At the tournament, Manda competed in three bouts to secure the gold medal.[1] In the opening round, she defeated her opponent from Eswatini 37–11.[1] Following this match, officials from the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) temporarily delayed her schedule to conduct a routine drug screening based on her performance margin.[1]
After the test returned negative, she advanced to the semi-finals, defeating her competitor from Botswana.[1] In the final match at the Matsokoane Barracks, Manda won by technical knockout (TKO) against Lesotho's Lipuo Molise to claim Malawi's first gold medal of the games.[1]
Awards
[edit]In 2023, Manda won the Junior Female Sportsperson of the Year award at the Malawi National Sport Awards.[6]
