The Swaddle is an independent [1] digital media company based in Mumbai, India, known for offering alternative[2] perspectives on news, culture and current events through its publication, podcasts,[3] social-first video series[4], and documentary shorts[5]. The publication has won multiple global design awards [6] for its bold visual design.[7] The Swaddle's multimedia team has produced work on themes ranging from Mumbai's last surviving courtesans[8] to the K-pop fandom[9] in India.
History
[edit]The Swaddle was founded by producer and media entrepreneur Karla Bookman[10], first as a women's health platform,[10] and then reimagined in 2018 as a culture magazine and creative production studio.
