Draft:The Secret Sorrow

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Secret Sorrow is a 1921 REOL Productions American film with an African American cast. It was written by J.C. Brown. It is a lost film.[1] The film is an account of two brothers raised apart.[2]

Villa Lewaro

A contemporary article states it was filmed at Villa Lewaro in Irvington-on-Hudson in New York State where A'Lelia Walker lived. She was the daughter of businesswoman Madame C. J. Walker.[1]

Edna Morton features in an advertisement for the film that described it as a "heart-throbbing story of mother love." It also noted it was, "Enacted by an all star cast of Colored Artists."[3] Morton starred in several REOL films.[4][5]
