One Sunday, she discovers a sticky note: “Whoever is reading this, remember you are special to my heart.” Initially dismissing it, she later realizes the original author is someone else entirely when another boy angrily removes the note.
Curiosity draws her back repeatedly, until a note directly challenges her: “Are you a stalker looking at my notes again????” Confronted by Aalto, a confident first-year university student, Elara bristles at being called “stalker girl.” Their meeting is sharp and unresolved.
A school camping trip throws them together when Elara’s activity team is assigned Aalto as a volunteer. Over camp duties, their dynamic settles into prickly cooperation. On the last morning, Elara is caught staring at Aalto; neither speaks of it. As buses depart, their eyes meet through windows, leaving both unsettled.
After returning home, Elara receives a text from an unknown number: “I hope you reached home safely.” When she demands identification, the reply reads, “Guess, stalker girl.” The fourth chapter ends with Elara saving the contact as “Note Guy” and composing a response.
