The High Flying Spy is a 1972 American television film produced by Walt Disney Productions.[1] Directed by Vincent McEveety, it originally aired in three parts on NBC's The Wonderful World of Disney on October 22, October 29, and November 5, 1972.[2]
The film is based on the 1967 novel High Spy by Robert Edmond Alter.[3] It is about Thaddeus S. C. Lowe and his use of a hot-air balloon to conduct reconnaissance for the Union Army during the American Civil War.[4]
