Tadiwanashe Chiota (born 21 November 2005) is a Zimbabwean-born student and aspiring engineer currently based in South Africa. He is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Metallurgical Engineering at the University of Johannesburg.

Early life and education

Chiota was born at the Budiriro Clinic in Harare, Zimbabwe. His early education was divided between rural and urban settings; he attended crèche in the Zviyambe village of Wedza before returning to Harare to complete his early childhood development.

He attended Budiriro Primary School until the end of Grade 2. In Grade 3, he relocated to the suburb of Cranborne to attend 2nd Brigade Primary School, which was situated within a military base. In 2015, Chiota moved to South Africa to join his mother in Burgersfort, Limpopo, where he enrolled at Calvin College. He completed his secondary education in 2023.

Career and further studies

In 2024, Chiota took a gap year while resolving his residency and immigration status. During this period, he transitioned into the technology sector, completing a certificate in Full Stack Development through the FNB Academy. He gained proficiency in several programming languages, including HTML, CSS, Python, and JavaScript.

Following the resolution of his immigration status in 2025, he registered at the University of Johannesburg. He is currently studying toward a degree in Metallurgical Engineering, with a primary focus on extraction metallurgy.
