Swipejobs is an Australian technology company that operates an artificial intelligence-based job matching platform in the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia. The platform matches job seekers to open roles using factors including their skills, availability and location.[1]

History

[edit]

Swipejobs was founded in 2014 by the Australian entrepreneur Katrina Leslie.[1][2] The company was built to serve the United States market and generates most of its earnings in the United States and Canada, with the United Kingdom described as a growth market.[1]

In February 2022 Swipejobs acquired Corestaff, a United States light industrial staffing brand, from the British staffing group Impellam for US$19 million.[3]

In February 2025 Talent International (UK), a Bristol-based recruitment subsidiary of Swipejobs Holdings, bought the employability and training provider PeoplePlus from Staffline for £12 million.[4][5][6]

In August 2026 the company appointed UBS and Barrenjoey to work on a potential initial public offering on the Australian Securities Exchange, following earlier reports that it had engaged Rothschild to run a dual-track sale or listing process. At that time it was reported to have annual revenue of about A$1.3 billion, more than 800 employees, and to have been profitable for six consecutive years.[1]

In September 2026 Swipejobs acquired Expert360, an Australian marketplace for consultants and fractional executives, for A$16 million.[7][8]

Platform

[edit]

Swipejobs operates a two-sided platform. Job seekers use a free mobile app or website, and employers pay for access.[9] Rather than having candidates apply to individual listings, the platform's matching system presents roles to job seekers based on attributes such as skills, availability, location and reliability, and updates those matches as a job seeker's preferences change. The company states that the system uses more than 40 matching factors and shows job seekers the reasons for each match.[9][10]

The platform covers temporary, contract and permanent work across industries. For employers it provides tools to configure onboarding and screening, schedule and manage shifts, and track time and attendance, with payroll handled through the platform.[9] Under its full-service model, Swipejobs' own recruitment team sources and screens candidates, and the company acts as the employer of record for temporary and contract workers, handling compliance, timekeeping and payroll in both the United States and the United Kingdom.[11]
