Mann began her broadcasting career at Sunrise Radio in London in 1999, presenting a variety of programmes, including the station's Breakfast Show and the Bollywood Top 20 chart show.[2] She later presented Bollywood Insider for ITN's multimedia division.[2]

In 2016, Mann produced and presented the BBC documentary Passing the Baby, which explored the practice of intra-family adoption within British Asian communities.[3] The documentary received widespread coverage across BBC platforms including The One Show and was shortlisted for an Audio and Radio Industry Award (ARIA) and an AIB Award.[citation needed]

After leaving the BBC, Mann founded a training company specialising in confidence building and public speaking.[citation needed] She later established the Adoption and Foster Care Awards to recognise excellence in the adoption and fostering sector.[4]

Mann adopted her nephew and has spoken publicly about her family's experience to raise awareness of kinship care within British Asian communities.[5][6] She is an ambassador for Barnardo's and their work on adoption and fostering.[7][8][9]
