Draft:Soluna Toronto

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Soluna is a restaurant, bar, and nightlife venue located at 314 Queen Street West in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.[1] Opened in June 2022 by Dan Gunam and Vito Tomasicchio,[2] the 8,500-square-foot establishment operates as a restaurant during the early evening and transitions into a lounge and nightlife space at night.[3]

History

[edit]

The venue is located at 314 Queen Street West, an address previously occupied by the music venue BamBoo (opened in 1983), Ultra Supper Club (opened in 2003), and Cube Nightclub (opened in 2012).[1]

In 2021, business partners Dan Gunam and Vito Tomasicchio acquired the property.[2] The establishment opened in June 2022.[4] During the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival, the location hosted a pop-up studio for the entertainment publication Deadline.[4]

Venue and operations

[edit]

The venue spans two levels across 8,500 square feet, consisting of a ground-floor dining area, two bars, and an outdoor rooftop terrace.[3] The interior features whitewashed brick, rattan furnishings, and plants.[1]

The menu offers family-style dishes combining Latin American, Asian, and Mediterranean influences.[1] Musical programming focuses on house music performed by resident and guest DJs.[4]
