Historic saros cycle animation

Saros cycle series 107 for solar eclipses occurred at the Moon's ascending node, repeating every 18 years and 11 days. It contained 72 eclipses, 40 of which were umbral (all annular). The first eclipse occurred on 15 February 557 and the last eclipse occurred on 5 April 1837. The longest annularity was 11 minutes 29 seconds on 14 December 1061.[1]

Umbral eclipses

Umbral eclipses (annular, total and hybrid) can be further classified as either: 1) Central (two limits), 2) Central (one limit) or 3) Non-Central (one limit). The statistical distribution of these classes in Saros series 107 appears in the following table.
