Skye Lin (born in Zhaozhou, China) is an American multidisciplinary floral and installation artist. She is the founder of Pinker Times, an exhibition gallery space and studio practice based in Atlanta, Georgia, dedicated to exploring floriography — the language of flowers — as a medium of visual and installation art. In 2024, Lin was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in the Fashion & Arts category.
Early life and education
[edit]Lin was born in Zhaozhou, China, and was raised in Vietnam.[1] She immigrated to the United States to pursue a career in the arts. Lin attended the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Atlanta, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Installation Art and Sculpture.[1]
Career

[edit]Prior to founding Pinker Times, Lin worked as an art director and photographer.[2]
Lin founded Pinker Times in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, initially as a personal creative outlet. While in lockdown in Atlanta, she began making floral arrangements for neighbors and posting them on Instagram, generating public interest that led to a business.[1] Lin has described the name as an aspiration toward a more optimistic future: "Pinker refers to happier times."[1]
Pinker Times opened its first exhibition space in summer 2020 in the Buckhead neighbourhood of Atlanta, featuring floral sculptures, preserved botanical works, and rotating immersive art installations free for the public. The space subsequently expanded to 1,200 square feet and offered public arrangement workshops hosted by Lin.[3]
Recognition
[edit]Lin was featured in InStyle magazine as part of a portfolio dedicated to Atlanta's cultural influence, described as highlighting the city's "collective power and rich tapestry of creative talent." She was included alongside civic and cultural figures such as Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms.[2]
In 2024, Lin was included on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in the Fashion & Arts category.[4]
