Shriram Properties Limited (SPL) is an Indian real estate development company headquartered in Bengaluru, Karnataka.[1] Founded in 2000 by Murali Malayappan, the company operates as the real estate arm of the diversified financial and commercial conglomerate Shriram Group, which was established by R. Thyagarajan.[2][3]Shriram Properties became a publicly traded entity in December 2021 following its listing on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE).[4][5]
The firm's corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives emphasize community welfare, disaster relief, and child nutrition. Shriram Properties has partnered with non-profit organizations, including donations of delivery vans and financial grants exceeding ₹32 lakh to the Akshaya Patra Foundation to support midday meal distribution for school children.[6][7]
History

Throughout its corporate history, the firm frequently partnered with financial institutions and real estate investment trusts to finance and execute construction ventures[10]. In December 2022, the company completed the acquisition of development rights for a ₹125-crore residential project from IIFL in Bengaluru.[11]
In December 2021, Shriram Properties launched its initial public offering to raise approximately ₹600 crore, consisting of a fresh issue of shares alongside an offer for sale (OFS) by existing stakeholders. The shares were offered within a price band of ₹113 to ₹118 per share[12]. The company officially listed on the BSE and NSE on 20 December 2021.[4][13][14][15]
Operations and projects
[edit]Shriram Properties operates an asset-light, capital-efficient operational model, emphasizing joint ventures (JV), joint development agreements (JDA), and development management (DM) partnerships to acquire and monetize land parcels.[1][3][16]
By 2024, the developer had completed 48 projects spanning approximately 27.6 million square feet of gross leasable and saleable area, catering to over 31,000 homebuyers.[16][8]

In the 2025–26 financial year, the developer registered aggregate sales value of ₹2,354 crore with gross customer collections reaching ₹1,661 crore and the handover of 3,465 residential units.[17][18]
