Ricky Shen or Shěn Quánruì (Chinese: 沈泉锐; born 20 May 2004) is a Chinese singer born in Shanghai. He was a trainee under Yuehua Entertainment for 2 years and 2 months.

Ricky gained recognition as a trainee/contestant competing on the reality survival competition programme Mnet Boys Planet, with his iconic slogan, “Young and rich, tall and handsome”, which drew public attention, alongside his visual style matching the slogan. He ultimately ranked 4th in the final episode, earning a position in the South Korean male vocal group ZEROBASEONE (ZB1).^[1]^[2]

Early life

Ricky was born on 20 May 2004 in Shanghai, China. He previously lived in Los Angeles, California, United States, making him fluent in English. He has a younger sister. Ricky studied fine arts at his high school.^[2]^[1]

Career

2022–present: Boys Planet, ZEROBASEONE and And2ble

On 29 December 2022, Ricky was announced as one of the contestants on the reality survival programme Mnet Boys Planet.^[3]^[4]

On 20 April 2023, Ricky secured 4th place with a total of 1,572,089 points in the final episode of Boys Planet, earning a debut position in ZEROBASEONE (ZB1).^[5]

On 10 July 2023, Ricky made his debut as a singer with ZEROBASEONE, releasing the mini-album Youth in the Shade.^[6]

On 11 January 2026, YH Entertainment stated that Ricky, along with Zhang Hao, Kim Gyuvin and Han Yujin would be taking time to prepare for their future activities and carefully review various directions following the conclusion of ZEROBASEONE's activities so that they can fully demonstrate their individual abilities and potential.^[7] WakeOne stated that they are discussing various possibilities for the group's future. The four officially departed from the group after their concert on 15 March 2026.^[8]

On 18 March 2026, he was reported as a member of YH Entertainment's upcoming boy group AND2BLE.^[9]^[10] The news was confirmed by the agency on 3 April 2026. The group will make their debut on 26 May 2026.^[11]^[12]
