Sergen Sesli (born 17 November 1997) is a Turkish singer and songwriter from Adana. He gained attention through his participation in Turkish singing competitions X Factor Star Işığı (2014) and O Ses Türkiye (2017), and later through independent single releases. In 2024, he received media coverage due to a public dispute with singer Hadise.
Early life
[edit]Sesli was born on 17 November 1997 in Adana, Turkey, with family roots in the Ceyhan district.[1] His birth surname was Turaçcı, which he later changed to "Sesli". He began his music career in 2013 by performing on the streets of Adana.[2]
Career
[edit]In 2014, Sesli auditioned for X Factor Star Işığı on Kanal D but was eliminated in the early rounds.[1]
In 2017, he competed on O Ses Türkiye (The Voice Turkey) on TV8. His blind audition turned chairs for judges Murat Boz and Hadise; he joined Hadise's team, later switched to Yıldız Tilbe's team during battles, and was eliminated in the cross-battles.[3]
He has since released independent singles, including "Yaralı Gönül" (2018, re-released 2023), "Deli Deli" (2022), "Hiç Sevmedin" (2023), "Fırtına" (2025), and "Bu Yolda Ben Tekim" (2025).[4][5]
In February 2024, Sesli publicly accused Hadise on social media of failing to honor a promise from O Ses Türkiye to feature him onstage during her Adana concert. He used strong language, calling her a "fake artist" and stating he did not need her stage. The dispute was covered in Turkish entertainment media.[3][6][7]
