Sankaran Karumaly
Sankaran Karumaly (born 30 July 1951) is an Indian writer, novelist, and library promotion activist from Kerala. He is known for his contributions to Malayalam literature and for promoting public library activities. He is the founder of the Pidikkaparamb Navasamskara Sahithi Public Library at Mupliyam. Over the course of his literary career, he has authored several novels published by different publishing houses.
Early life and education
Sankaran was born on 30 July 1951 at Nandipulam, Varandarappilly, Thrissur district, Kerala, India.
He is the son of Perumbilly Narayanan Nair and Karumaly Kamalakshi Amma.
He received his early education at Manjoor School and Pallikkunnu School, and later studied at Farook College. He subsequently entered government service and retired after completing his career.
Career
Sankaran has been actively involved in Malayalam literature as a novelist and in promoting the public library movement in Kerala. He founded the Pidikkaparamb Navasamskara Sahithi Public Library, Mupliyam, with the objective of encouraging reading and literary activities in the local community.
His literary works primarily consist of Malayalam novels exploring social and human themes.
