Sana Raees Khan is an Indian lawyer and television personality. She appeared as a contestant on the Indian reality television series Bigg Boss 17 in 2023.[1] In 2025, she presented the NDTV legal-awareness programme Rule of Law with Sana Raees Khan.[2]
Career
[edit]Khan practises criminal law in Mumbai. In 2021, she represented Avin Sahu, an accused in the Mumbai cruise drugs case, and obtained bail for him. In a 2025 interview, she discussed the arguments she made in Sahu's bail proceedings.[3]
Khan was also part of the legal team representing Indrani Mukerjea in the Sheena Bora case. In May 2022, senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi and Khan appeared for Mukerjea before the Supreme Court of India in proceedings in which Mukerjea was granted bail after more than six years in custody.[4]
Television
[edit]Khan participated in Bigg Boss 17 in 2023. In a June 2024 interview with The Times of India, she discussed joining the programme, her experiences in the house and the effect of her absence on her legal work.[5]
On 12 April 2025, NDTV launched Rule of Law with Sana Raees Khan, a programme intended to explain legal issues to a general audience. Its first episode discussed the Waqf (Amendment) Act, 2025 and challenges to the legislation before the Supreme Court.[2]
