Sammaouny (Arabic: سمّعوني; Let Me Hear You) is the tenth studio album by Egyptian singer Mohamed Hamaki, released on 29 May 2026 through Ki Records. Consisting of 18 tracks.
The project was promoted through an extensive teaser campaign beginning in May 2026 and was preceded by the singles "Aalo Anni Eih" and "Bahareya", the latter featuring Egyptian singer Sherine Abdel Wahab.
Musically, Sammaouny incorporates a wide variety of styles including Arabic pop, Latin-inspired music, flamenco influences, traditional oriental melodies, dance-pop, house music, Afrobeat, EDM, and regional North African and Nubian elements. The album features collaborations with numerous songwriters, composers and arrangers, including Amir Teima, Aziz El Shafei, Amr Mostafa, Ahmed Ibrahim, Tooma, David Amin and others.
The album was initially released exclusively on YouTube and Anghami before becoming available on additional streaming platforms worldwide during the first week of June 2026.[1]
Background
[edit]Like several of Hamaki's previous records, the album relied on a notably diverse creative team. The project reunited him with longtime collaborator Amr Mostafa, who contributed compositions to seven tracks. The album also continued Hamaki's longstanding partnership with lyricist Amir Teima, who wrote six songs for the project.[2]
Additional contributions came from Aziz El Shafei[3], Tamer Hussein, Mohamady, Mostafa Nasser, Ayman Bahgat Kamar and Ramadan Mohamed, while arrangements were handled by Tooma, Ahmed Ibrahim, David Amin, Tamim, Fahad.
The album additionally introduced arranger David Amin to a broader audience through three tracks.
Promotion and marketing

On 11 May 2026, Hamaki hid all of his Instagram posts and published a single promotional image displaying the number "10" alongside the caption:[4]
"The wait ends at floor 10."
The cryptic message immediately generated speculation among fans regarding a possible album announcement and marked the beginning of the promotional campaign for Sammaouny.
Official teaser
[edit]Three days later, on 14 May 2026, Hamaki officially unveiled the first teaser for the album across his social media platforms.[5][6]
Directed by Moustafa Aamer, the teaser featured Hamaki's daughter Fatma walking through visual representations of significant moments from the singer's career, including references to several of his previous musical successes. The video concluded with the reveal of a three-dimensional display presenting the title Sammaouny.[7]
The teaser was accompanied by the caption:
"Coming soon 👀🔥"
The promotional video received widespread attention online and officially confirmed both the album's existence and title.[8]
Album completion announcement
[edit]On 20 May 2026, Hamaki announced that work on the album had been completed and revealed that the project's first single would be released the following day.[9]

[edit]On 28 May 2026, Hamaki announced that the complete album would become available the following day through YouTube and Anghami.[10]
The announcement was accompanied by the Arabic caption:
"ألبوم سمّعوني كامل إن شاء الله بكرة الساعة ٢ على يوتيوب وأنغامي"
which confirmed a release time of 2:00 PM local time.
Singles

[edit]"Aalo Anni Eih" was released on 21 May 2026 as the album's lead single.[11]
The song was written by Amir Teima, composed by Amr Mostafa, arranged by Ahmed Ibrahim and mixed and mastered by Amir Mahrous.
Upon release, the track received positive reactions from listeners, many of whom compared its musical style to earlier periods of Hamaki's career. Critics and fans frequently cited the song's composition and emotional delivery as reminders of several of his best-known collaborations with Amr Mostafa.
"Bahareya"
[edit]"Bahareya" featuring Sherine Abdel Wahab was released on 25 May 2026 as the album's second single.[12]
The collaboration represented one of the most highly anticipated songs of the album due to the popularity of both artists. Written and composed by Aziz El Shafei and arranged by Tooma, the track initially generated mixed reactions from listeners, with some expressing surprise at its unconventional musical direction.
Despite the early criticism, reception gradually became more positive following release, and the song eventually emerged as one of the album's most discussed and commercially successful tracks.[13]
Composition and themes
[edit]Sammaouny showcases one of the broadest musical palettes of Mohamed Hamaki's career, combining elements of contemporary Arabic pop with influences drawn from Latin music, flamenco, oriental tarab, electronic dance music, Afrobeat and regional North African sounds.[14]
Throughout the album, Hamaki alternates between familiar styles associated with many of his earlier successes and more experimental approaches. Songs such as "Aalo Anni Eih", "Seebo Ya Alby", "Khallina" and "Mesheety" incorporate Latin-inspired melodies and flamenco-influenced arrangements, continuing a sound that has become closely associated with several of his most popular collaborations with composer Amr Mostafa.[14]
Elsewhere, tracks including "Tooba", "Omrena Ma Nesina", "Balaghny" and "Habeitak Be Hayaty" place greater emphasis on traditional oriental melodies and emotionally driven vocal performances, highlighting Hamaki's affinity for romantic ballads and tarab-inspired compositions.[14]
The album also explores more rhythm-focused territory through songs such as "Naawet Einy" and "Ana Tamam", which draw from contemporary Egyptian popular music while maintaining the album's melodic character. At the same time, tracks including "Beyoulolek Eih", "Sammaouny", "Yanny Eih", "Betesaalouny Leeh", "Ayam", "Hely Hely", "Ewaa Tensany" and "Bahareya" incorporate modern production styles influenced by house music, Afrobeat, EDM and regional Nubian and North African musical traditions.[14]
Despite its stylistic diversity, Sammaouny maintains a consistent emotional core. The album frequently revolves around themes of love, separation, longing, nostalgia and personal reflection. Several songs adopt a melancholic tone, while others emphasize optimism, resilience and emotional growth, creating a balance between introspective ballads and more energetic recordings.
