Saifrood Unity and Aid Organization (SUAO) is a non-governmental organization registered in Herat, Afghanistan.[1] Its documented humanitarian projects include cash assistance for returnees in Herat, earthquake-affected households in Kunar, and flood-affected households in Badghis.[2][3][4]
Registration
[edit]Afghanistan's Ministry of Economy lists SUAO as an active non-governmental organization under registration number 6162. The register records its province as Herat and its registration date as 3/2/1404 in the Solar Hijri calendar, corresponding to 23 April 2025.[1]

Activities
[edit]CISU's grant database records SUAO's involvement in emergency assistance projects funded through the Danish Emergency Relief Fund (DERF).[2][3][4]
A project in Herat, scheduled from August to December 2025, targeted 280 deported Afghan families with cash assistance. Its planned activities also included legal assistance for 200 undocumented people to apply for national identity cards.[2]
CISU identifies SUAO and Rebuild Aid as joint implementers of an earthquake-response project in Kunar Province, scheduled from November 2025 to March 2026. The project targeted 200 households with multipurpose cash assistance for needs including food, shelter and medicine.[3]
A further project, scheduled from May to September 2026, identified SUAO as Rebuild Aid's partner in providing multipurpose cash assistance to 220 flood-affected households in Badghis Province.[4]
Partnerships
[edit]SUAO collaborates with the Danish association Rebuild Aid Forening. CISU identifies the two organizations as joint implementers of the DERF-funded Kunar earthquake response and as partners in the Badghis flood-response project.[3][4]
Areas of operation
[edit]SUAO is registered in Herat, and its documented project locations include Herat and Badghis in western Afghanistan and Kunar in eastern Afghanistan.[1][2][4][3] According to a report published by Rebuild Aid in June 2026, SUAO provided emergency cash assistance in Muqur District and Qala-e-Naw, Badghis Province.[5]
Target groups
[edit]The documented projects target returnee families and households affected by earthquakes and floods.[2][3][4] The Herat project description identifies female-headed households, older people and persons with disabilities among its priority groups, while also providing for legal assistance to undocumented people.[2] The Badghis project targets vulnerable households affected by the loss of shelter, livelihoods, agricultural land and other assets, with attention to women, children, older people and people with chronic illnesses.[4]
