Draft:Rodrigo Zingoni

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rodrigo Zingoni is a Brazilian visual artist whose work is associated with contemporary steel sculpture and monumental pieces. His artistic trajectory has included graffiti, airbrushing and visual signage before he began producing contemporary sculptures in steel.[1]

Artistic career

[edit]

Zingoni began his artistic activities during childhood and later worked with graffiti and airbrushing. He subsequently worked in visual signage before adopting steel as the principal material for his three-dimensional work.[1]

In 2025, his work received media coverage following the inauguration of a steel gorilla monument created for the 125th anniversary of Associação Atlética Ponte Preta.[2]

Ponte Preta gorilla monument

[edit]

On 11 August 2025, during the celebrations of Ponte Preta's 125th anniversary, a gorilla sculpture created by Zingoni was inaugurated in front of the Estádio Moisés Lucarelli in Campinas, São Paulo.[2]

The monument was made from 1.5-millimetre steel sheets. It measures 1.57 metres in height and 1.47 metres in length and weighs 73 kilograms.[2]

The work was subsequently described by regional media as a new attraction at the stadium. Campinas.com.br reported that the monument had become a meeting point and a location for photographs and videos.[3]
