  • Comment: Need to show WP:LASTING coverage. The reception should cover years and be written in prose, not a list a quotes. Sheffield Magazine is a blog which is not a reliable source (see WP:BLOGS) so should not be used. Also, the WP:lead should summarize the sourced content in the body and the Format section is entirely unsourced. S0091 (talk) 19:36, 12 September 2026 (UTC)

Rock N Roll Circus or RNRC is an annual outdoor music festival series. RNRC combines live music and circus performances.

The festival was founded in 2022 and is organised by AGN Events. AGN Events is a London-based company led by Festival Director Ali O'Reilly.

The current version of the festival is held at Don Valley Bowl in Sheffield and Earlham Park in Norwich, with expansions planned for 2027.

History

[edit]

Born out of the socially distanced arena concerts staged in Newcastle Upon Tyne during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, which Festival Director Ali O'Reilly helped deliver. O'Reilly founded AGN Events in 2022 and launch Rock N Roll Circus the same year at Town Moor.

In 2023 the event moved to Don Valley Bowl in Sheffield and expanded from two days to three. The festival has subsequently been held in Sheffield every year since.

In 2025 the festival expanded to a second city and was hosted at Earlham Park in Norwich.

In 2026 the festival returned to both Sheffield and Norwich each for four days.

In 2027 the festival is expanding to London and will be hosted at Gunnersbury Park.

Format

[edit]

Spread across four days, the event includes headline performances on the Big Top stage, as well as emerging acts on the second stage.

Circus performers including aerialists, highwire artists, fire performers, jugglers and stilt walkers perform throughout the day around the site, as well as in the Big Top.

Tickets are sold per day or as multi-day passes.

Reception & Reviews

[edit]

Rock N Roll Circus has been well received by music press and regional press outlets over the years.

Reviewing the 2025 edition of the festival in Sheffield, Backseat Mafia describer Rock N Roll Circus as "the UK's most unique festival" and said when began as a novel combination of circus and live music had become a full realised Sheffield landmark. [1]

Reviewing the Queens of the Stone Age night in Sheffield, Louder Than War called it "easily the best evening of music I've witnessed over a summer of festivals" and credited the organisers for the bill. [2]
