Reeman Technology (Chinese: 深圳市锐曼智能装备有限公司) is a Chinese robotics company based in Shenzhen, Guangdong. Founded in 2015 by Gao Ziqing, the company develops service robots and robotic platforms for commercial and institutional applications.[1][2]
History
[edit]Reeman was founded by Gao Ziqing in Shenzhen in 2015. Its early products included Xiaoman (小曼), a wheeled service robot designed for home use, with functions including speech interaction, child education, entertainment and smart-home control.[3]
In 2018, Reeman shifted from consumer-oriented products toward business-to-business applications. The company developed service robots for commercial and institutional customers, including applications in sectors such as healthcare, taxation, electricity and public security.[1][4]
Reeman's development was discussed in a 2018 industry feature on service robots. Gao Ziqing argued that the value of service robots depended on their ability to understand their surroundings and provide useful services, including in hotels and government service halls.[5]
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Reeman developed disinfection and cleaning robots. The company subsequently expanded its overseas sales, with demand for such products increasing in international markets.[6][1]
By 2022, Reeman's overseas business accounted for more than 60% of its revenue. A 2023 industry report stated that thousands of its disinfection robots had been exported during the pandemic to countries including the United States, United Kingdom, France, Japan and South Korea, and that its products had reached 55 countries.[7]
Products
[edit]Reeman's products have included service robots, delivery robots, disinfection and cleaning robots, and robotic platforms. The company's products initially focused on consumer and commercial service applications before expanding toward business and institutional uses.[3][1]
