Red Pocket, Inc. is an American MVNO ( mobile virtual network operator ) headquartered in Thousand Oaks, California. It's a privately held corporation, currently ranked 14th by Tracxn[3], with estimated revenues of $5.1 Million[4] in year 2024 of a total USD 42.730 Billion[5] United States MVNO Market size.

The company was founded in 2005 by Joshua Gordon. Prior to Red Pocket, Inc., Mr. Gordon co-founded and has been serving as a Member of the Board of the Democracy Council, a Los Angeles-based non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to strengthening democratic institutions around the world.[6]

FreedomPop acquisition

June 7, 2019: Reuters announced the FreedomPop Brand Acquisition[7] for an undisclosed amount. Previously, May 31 2019[8], Form 8-K was filed by Tucows Inc, reaching an agreement with STS Media Inc., (“STS Media), an MVNO operator doing business as Freedom Pop and Unreal Mobile brands, to acquire approximately 150,000 mobile subscribers currently on the Sprint network for a purchase price of up to $3.6 million.
