Red Method is a British metal band formed in London in 2018. The group was established by former members of prominent UK industrial and death metal acts, including The Defiled and Meta-Stasis.[1] The band's musical style primarily blends elements of nu metal, groove metal, death metal, and industrial music. They released their debut studio album, For the Sick, in 2020.[2]
History

[edit]Red Method was officially unveiled in late 2018, featuring keyboardist Alex Avdis (formerly of The Defiled) alongside musicians from Meta-Stasis. [1] According to the group, the name "Red Method" was inspired by the lifesaving childhood blood transfusions required by vocalist Jeremy Gomez.[3] The band premiered their debut single, "Split", through Metal Hammer in December 2018.[1]
The band released their debut studio album, For the Sick, on 28 February 2020 through Depraved Records.[2] The album received positive reviews from music critics. Writing for the Express & Star, reviewer Naomi Dunsford described the release as an "interesting and well-crafted, raucous affair," highlighting the aggressive vocal style of frontman Jeremy Gomez and the frantic percussion of Fred Myers.[4] Niko Savic of Distorted Sound Magazine noted the record's high-speed delivery, technical composition, and dynamic tempo changes.[2] To support the release, the band engaged in UK touring and secured notable festival appearances, including slots at Download Festival and Bloodstock Open Air. In 2021, the band released a companion remix project titled ReWorks.[5]
In late 2021, the band released the standalone single "Adriel" to coincide with International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day, drawing media coverage from Metal Hammer for addressing heavy thematic concepts such as mental health and grief.[6]
Lineup changes and *Becoming The Sickness* (2024–present)
[edit]The band underwent lineup shifts in 2024, which included the departure of founding guitarist Quinton Lucion. Red Method subsequently rebuilt their roster, introducing lead guitarist Antony 'Yacka' Moss (formerly of Carcer City) and drummer James Perry (formerly of Onslaught and Ted Maul).
In January 2025, the band's collaboration with Jayant Bhadula of Bloodywood, titled "All For One, None For All", was ranked at number 46 on Louder Sound's official list of the 50 best metal songs of 2024.[7]
In early 2026, the band returned with new music, releasing the single "Becoming the Sickness" alongside coverage from rock publications such as Devolution Magazine.[8]
