Ramzi Turki is a Tunisian academic, researcher and artist whose work focuses on digital art, net.art, electronic mail art, art and technology, and networked artistic practices. He is a university lecturer with a habilitation to direct research (HDR) at the Higher Institute of Computer Science and Multimedia of Sfax (ISIMS), University of Sfax, Tunisia. Biography

He obtained a doctorate in arts from Bordeaux 3 University in 2012. In November 2017, Turki defended a habilitation to direct research (HDR) at Bordeaux Montaigne University. Research and artistic work

Turki's research examines the relationship between artistic creation and digital and networked technologies. His work has particularly addressed net.art, electronic mail art, social networks, digital images and the use of the Internet as a space for artistic interaction and participation. One of his early areas of research was electronic mail art. In 2006, Turki received a digital work by the Belgian artist Luc Fierens and redistributed it by electronic mail to artists in his network. The project generated responses and exchanges among participants.
