Prep Edu (also known as PREP) is an educational technology company founded in 2021 by Phạm Quang Tú.[1] Prep Edu operates in several Asian countries, including Vietnam, South Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, and Taiwan.[2]
The company launched its platform of the same name, Prep Edu — an AI-powered language learning, teaching, and testing platform which focuses on preparation for standardized language tests, including IELTS, TOEIC, HSK and also Communication and Business English.[3]
PREP was the only one EdTech startup in South-East Asia to reach the final round of the Global EdTech Startup Awards 2024. They were also the only Vietnamese company to be named at the NextGen Tech 30 by Granite Asia in 2024.[4]
In 2024, the company raised a US$7 million Series A round co-led by Cercano Management Asia and Northstar Ventures, with participation from Touchstone Partners, East Ventures, and Saison Capital.
