Post Sex Nachos is a band from Columbia, Missouri formed in 2017. As of 2025, the band has completed two national tours and performed at Lollapalooza in Chicago, IL, on August 4, 2024.[1] The group was founded by Sammy Elfman (lead vocals) during his freshman year at the University of Missouri along with Mitch Broddon (lead guitar), Kevin Jerez (keyboard), Chase Mueller (bass), and Hunter Pendleton (drums). Their first song, "Vows," was recorded and released in 2019.[2] After years of performing in and around Columbia, Missouri, they recorded their first album, Grandpa Slinks, during the COVID-19 pandemic and released it in the midst of the shutdown.[1] They have released three albums total. The genre of Post Sex Nachos is largely considered “college rock” and influenced by themes of living in the Midwest.[3] They have described their music as being inspired by the styles of bands like MGMT, The Rolling Stones, Daylglow, and The Killers.[2]
