PlanHub, Inc., commonly known as PlanHub, is an American construction software company headquartered in West Palm Beach, Florida.[1][2] It operates a cloud-based platform for the preconstruction phase of commercial construction, connecting general contractors, subcontractors and suppliers through project discovery, document distribution, bidding, takeoff, estimating and workflow-management tools.[1][3][4]
PlanHub received a US$41 million investment from Mainsail Partners in 2020.[5] GrowthCurve Capital acquired the company from Mainsail Partners and other shareholders in 2025, with Mainsail retaining a minority interest.[2][6][7]
History
[edit]PlanHub was incorporated in Florida on December 29, 2008. The corporation adopted its current name, PlanHub, Inc., in May 2020.[8]
WPTV reported that, in 2009, Kevin Priddy identified fragmentation in the commercial construction bidding process, in which general contractors used numerous separate sources to distribute project plans to subcontractors. The company subsequently developed a centralized online marketplace for distributing project information and soliciting bids.[1]
A 2020 profile in Construction Tech Review identified Priddy and Kyle Conlan as the executives who developed the software and described PlanHub as a platform intended to bring general contractors, subcontractors and construction suppliers into a common bidding system.[9]
In 2020, WPTV reported that PlanHub planned to double the workforce at its West Palm Beach headquarters by hiring employees in engineering, sales, finance, accounting, marketing and human resources.[1] Before receiving outside investment, the company had been bootstrapped. Its US$41 million investment from Mainsail Partners was intended to support product development, customer success, management hiring, sales and marketing.[5]
GrowthCurve Capital acquired PlanHub in September 2025. The acquisition was separately reported by the South Florida Business Journal and Axios.[2][6] GrowthCurve's announcement stated that it acquired the company from affiliates of Mainsail Partners and other shareholders, that Mainsail would remain a minority shareholder, and that the transaction's financial terms were not disclosed.[7]
Platform
[edit]In a 2020 review, Contractor Magazine described PlanHub as cloud-based preconstruction plan-room and bidding software for commercial construction trades. The article reported that users could filter project opportunities by trade and service area, review plans and bid dates, communicate through an RFI center, and use tools for blueprint keyword searching, bid-calendar management and competitive analysis. It also noted integrations with the STACK estimating platform and eSUB construction management software.[3]
The 2020 Construction Tech Review profile described separate uses of PlanHub by general contractors, subcontractors and suppliers. These included posting projects and distributing documents, finding projects and submitting bids, and accessing plans and project opportunities involving construction materials.[9]
In a 2024 feature examining software platforms used by contractors, Electrical Contractor described PlanHub as an end-to-end preconstruction system of record that combined project documents, takeoff, estimating, bid comparison and tracking, and contractor-network functions. The article also reported that work performed in PlanHub could be transferred to construction management systems and that larger contractors could integrate customer relationship management platforms.[4]
In April 2025, Construction Dive reported, citing a company news release, that PlanHub 2.0 had launched for subcontractors in February. The release included project-discovery tools, contact and interaction tracking, reminders and bid-management functions.[10]
Recognition
[edit]PlanHub appeared on the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing privately held companies in the United States for five consecutive years. It ranked No. 1,477 in 2021, No. 998 in 2022, No. 1,203 in 2023, No. 1,828 in 2024 and No. 1,786 in 2025.[11]
In 2024, Deloitte ranked PlanHub No. 383 on its North American Technology Fast 500 list, reporting revenue growth of 286 percent over the ranking period.[12]
