Oskar Barami (born 16 February 2000), widely known by his online handle Oski, is a Slovak content creator, interviewer and media personality. He is the host, founder and creative director of OSKISHOW, a long-form interview programme founded in 2022, distributed across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and other platforms. Through OSKISHOW, Barami has conducted interviews with sitting heads of state, NATO officials, government ministers and prominent figures from Slovak public life, as well as entertainers, athletes and social media personalities. He holds an engineering degree in tourism from the University of Economics in Bratislava.
Barami operates as an independent creator with no political affiliation. As of 2026, his combined audience across all platforms exceeds one million followers and subscribers. Denník N described him as one of the most prominent interview-format content creators in Slovakia, noting his interviews with senior political figures across party lines.[1]
Early life
[edit]Barami was born on 16 February 2000 in Bratislava. He grew up in the Petržalka district of the city. Before entering media, he worked as a bartender at several establishments while pursuing interests in music and gaming, including League of Legends and FIFA. He began his online career producing light-hearted TikTok videos about relationships, which built his initial following before he pivoted to long-form interview content.
Career
[edit]OSKISHOW
[edit]Barami is the founder and host of OSKISHOW, which launched on 18 August 2022 as a casual podcast in which he sat with friends to discuss stories, news and personalities from the Slovak entertainment scene.[2] The format subsequently evolved into a full-scale interview programme producing long-form conversations with politicians, public officials, business figures, entertainers and athletes. As of 2026, it has published approximately 100 episodes.
The programme is distributed across YouTube (under the channels @oskishow and the archive channel @oskarozhovory), Instagram, and TikTok. Exclusive content is available on the subscription platform HeroHero at herohero.co/oski. Revenue is generated through brand partnerships — including collaborations with Rio Mare, Bioderma, Slovenská sporiteľňa and VÚB banka — and through subscriber fees.[1]
Format and content
[edit]OSKISHOW's interviews are predominantly long-form, covering political affairs, social issues, entertainment and personal biography. Barami has positioned the programme as accessible to a general audience, attracting both senior political figures and pop-culture personalities. He has publicly stated that he does not support any political party and receives no funding from political organisations.[3]
The programme has produced content ranging from high-profile political interviews — including with a sitting head of state and a NATO Secretary General — to entertainment-focused episodes with Slovak musicians, MMA athletes and social media personalities. Select episodes are available exclusively to paying subscribers on HeroHero.[1]

Media coverage
[edit]Barami has been profiled or cited in several major Slovak publications, including Denník N, SME, Topky.sk, Postoj, Kanal 1 and Startitup. The Slovak Spectator, Slovakia's English-language newspaper of record, reported on him in connection with the Brussels government aircraft controversy.[3] He appeared in a televised political discussion on STVR alongside Minister Taraba and a member of parliament,[6] and was also interviewed on Europa 2 radio.
Lectures and public appearances
[edit]Barami has delivered guest lectures at Slovak universities. He spoke at the Faculty of Economics and Management of the Slovak University of Agriculture (SPU FEM) in Nitra, where the event was titled From Zero to Hero.[7] He also lectured at the Slovak University of Technology (STU) in Bratislava and co-led a discussion with Igor Rattaj at the University of Economics in Bratislava — the institution from which Barami holds his own engineering degree.
Controversies
[edit]Brussels government aircraft
[edit]In 2025, Barami accompanied Minister of Environment Tomáš Taraba on a Slovak government aircraft to Brussels, an arrangement that drew significant media attention. Several Slovak outlets reported critically on the use of a state jet to transport a social media influencer.[5] Kanal 1 noted that Barami stated he saw no problem with the arrangement.[8] The Slovak Spectator framed the episode in the context of the Slovak government's efforts to reach younger voters through social media creators.[3] Barami subsequently appeared in a televised political discussion on STVR alongside the minister.[6]
NATO summit access
[edit]Reports in Startitup and Koktejl (Azet) noted that Barami attended the 2025 NATO summit, with commentary suggesting that access had been facilitated in part through the office of President Peter Pellegrini. Barami publicly addressed the circumstances of his attendance.[4][9]
Political aspirations
[edit]Topky.sk reported that Barami had suggested the possibility of entering politics in the future, following his extensive interviews with Slovak politicians across party lines.[10] Barami has maintained that he is not affiliated with any political party or its financial backers.
