Onfinity (until 2024 VIENNA Advantage) is an open-source enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) system developed by Vienna Advantage GmbH of Zetel, Germany, with development in Mohali, India.[1] It is written in C# on the .NET Framework, runs on IIS with PostgreSQL or Oracle Database, and is used through a web browser.[2]
History
[edit]Vienna Advantage began in 2005 as an ERP consulting company before developing its own product.[3] In late 2009 the company took over the JFire open-source ERP project.[4] In 2024 the product was renamed Onfinity.[1]
Features
[edit]Onfinity covers accounting, purchasing, sales and CRM, inventory and warehouse management, manufacturing, project management, fixed assets, plant maintenance and human resources on a single database.[2] Its application dictionary stores windows, fields, validation rules, workflows and reports as metadata rather than program code, a design intended to let customisations survive upgrades of the core.[1] The system includes a document management system and a business-intelligence component,[2] and, from version 6.0, an AI assistant named AURA.[5] Country localisations include India (GST, e-invoicing and payroll).[SOURCE NEEDED — an independent one]
Licensing
[edit]The community edition, Pluto, is released under the Eclipse Public License and can be run on the user's own servers without a user limit.[6] Commercial editions (SME Cloud, Nova and Galaxy) add hosting, support and further modules.[1]
