Omega is a fictional character from the British science fiction television series Doctor Who.
Character history

[edit]Doctor Who is a long-running British science-fiction television series that began in 1963. It stars its protagonist, The Doctor, an alien who travels through time and space in a ship known as the TARDIS, as well as their travelling companions.[2] When the Doctor dies, they are able to undergo a process known as "regeneration", completely changing the Doctor's appearance and personality.[3] Throughout their travels, the Doctor often comes into conflict with various alien species and antagonists.[4][5]
In the early days of Gallifrey’s history, the Gallifreyans discovered the secret of time travel but, to achieve it, they required a colossal source of energy. Determined to achieve time travel, Omega left Gallifrey on a dangerous mission as a solar engineer. Through his engineering, Omega arranged the detonation of a star which successfully granted them time travel in the process. Time Lord history recorded that Omega was killed in the supernova but, unknown to them, he was trapped in an anti-matter universe within the black hole created in the supernova. For thousands of years, Omega was banished to an anti-matter universe, alone. He came to be able to assert influence over the world, possessing the ability to manipulate his surroundings by will alone. During this time, he developed a vendetta against the Time Lords, believing himself to have been wronged.[6]
Omega first appears physically in Doctor Who for the season 10 opening story The Three Doctors.
Omega returned [] years later for the season 20 opening story Arc of Infinity.
