Draft:Ocean Township Action

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ocean Township Action (OTA) is a grassroots community organization based in Ocean Township, Monmouth County, New Jersey. The group was formed on October 8, 2025 by local resident Jonah Blumenfeld, and focuses on municipal issues concerning municipal land use, township governance, and development, taking a localist, cultural preservationist, and populist stance on local issues.

According to an article published by the organization in local newspaper publication The Coaster, the group’s goal is to halt excessive development in Ocean Township, which they claim is funded by investment groups such as The Vanguard Group and BlackRock Incorporated. The group states that it seeks to "[preserve] our township's identity, traditions, sovereignty, and values." [1] [2]

Ocean Township Action has used social media and local outreach to promote community engagement, encouraging supporters to use the hashtag "#oceantownshipaction" on online platforms to raise awareness of its cause.
