Narayan B.K. (also written as Narayan BK, Nepali : नारायण बि.क. ; born August 12, 1992 ) is a Nepalese actor and independent filmmaker who works across both the Nepali entertainment industry and Indian cinema. He is widely recognized for his cross-border breakout role in the 2023 biographical Bollywood war drama Sam Bahadur.[1]
Career
[edit]B.K. started his career in the Nepalese film industry as an actor and filmmaker based in Kathmandu. He earned initial industry acknowledgment with a supporting role in the critically acclaimed Nepali drama film Selfie King (2020).
In 2023, B.K. achieved a significant milestone by entering Bollywood in the biographical war drama Sam Bahadur, which centers on the life of India's first Field Marshal, Sam Manekshaw. Directed by Meghna Gulzar and starring Vicky Kaushal, the film cast B.K. in the supporting role of Rifleman Tamang. His transition and performance alongside mainstream Indian actors received praise from prominent Nepali media houses and social platforms like Routine of Nepal Banda.[2]
Beyond feature films, B.K. has diversified into television and the indie music scene. In 2023, he transitioned into directing, making his directorial debut with the independent music video Tasbir.[3] In 2025, he returned to acting on-screen for the music video Bayan, appearing alongside Priyana Acharya and Rupa Pudasaini.[4]
