Hailey Paige Buzbee (October 9, 2008 – January 2026) [1] was a 17-year-old student from Fishers, Indiana, whose disappearance and murder prompted widespread regional and national attention regarding online child exploitation and predator safety.

Buzbee vanished from her home on January 5, 2026, after being targeted and groomed online by an adult man over online platforms. Following an extensive multi-state investigation, authorities determined she had been driven across state lines into Ohio, where she was killed. Her remains were recovered in early February 2026 in the Wayne National Forest.[2] [3]
