Mobill Scandinavia AB (trading as Mobill) is a Swedish company based in Malmö that provides mobile payment for parking and electric vehicle charging.[2] It was founded in 2005.[1]
History
[edit]The company was registered in Malmö in February 2005.[1] Its first service was mobile payment for parking; it later also offered payment for public transport tickets and vending machines.[2]
In December 2021, Örebro Municipality stopped offering Mobill after moving all municipal parking payment to Flowbird.[3]
In January 2024, Mobill signed a three-year agreement as main sponsor of Djurgårdens IF Fotboll, replacing Prioritet Finans.[4] FotbollDirekt reported, citing unnamed sources, that the agreement was worth 5.5–6 million kronor per year.[5] The following month it signed a similar three-year agreement with IFK Göteborg.[6] Also in 2024, it was one of five providers selected in a procurement by the municipal parking company in Karlstad.[7]
As of 2026, Mobill is accepted both on the City of Malmö's parking spaces and at the car parks run by the municipal company Parkering Malmö.[8][9] From October 2026 it is one of four parking payment services accepted in Uppsala.[10]
Services
[edit]Parking is paid through Mobill's mobile app, by SMS or by an automated phone service.[9] The platform also handles payment for electric vehicle charging, residential parking permits and long-term parking.[2] In Malmö and Uppsala the municipalities accept Mobill alongside EasyPark, ePark and Parkster.[9][10] In 2025, the motoring magazine Vi Bilägare compared Mobill with the same three services.[11]
