Mitar Perušić (born 1973) is a Serbian (Republic of Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina) academic and professor of chemical engineering. He was born in Lukavac, near Tuzla, where he completed secondary school in electrical engineering.

Biography

Following the outbreak of the Yugoslav Wars and the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Perušić moved to Zvornik in 1992. He graduated from the Faculty of Technology at the University of East Sarajevo as the top student in his class. He subsequently obtained his master’s and doctoral degrees from the Faculty of Technology at the University of Banja Luka. He has published several scientific research papers in the fields of chemical technology, chemical engineering, technology management and project management.[1]

At the Faculty of Technology in Zvornik, part of the University of East Sarajevo, he held the academic positions of teaching assistant, senior teaching assistant and assistant professor before becoming the faculty’s youngest full professor. [2] He also taught postgraduate courses at the Faculty of Economics in East Sarajevo and worked as an associate at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Banja Luka.

Perušić has participated in or led several international projects [3] and has served as a consultant [4] to a number of companies and organisations.

He is married and has a son and a daughter.
