Comment: Notability cannot be inherited from the larger projects they are part of. We need to see significant secondary coverage of the subject in multiple sources. Sulfurboy (talk) 19:26, 13 August 2026 (UTC)

Michael LeSieur is a screenwriter. He wrote the screenplays of You, Me and Dupree (2006), Keeping Up with the Joneses (2016), and co-wrote The Grinch (2018) with Tommy Swerdlow.
Early life and career
[edit]In January 2010, TBS picked up Glory Daze, a fraternity-centered comedy pilot set in the 1980s created and written by LeSieur and Walt Becker, to also be directed by Becker.[1][2] However, upon the series greenlighted for a full season, it was later cancelled in February 2011 due to poor ratings.[3][4][5]
On February 2012, Ben Stiller was set to produce the feature film adaptation of Susan Trott's novel The Flamingo Thief with LeSieur writing the screenplay, Will Ferrell set to star, Stuart Cornfield and Erica Steinberg set to produce through Red Hour in collaboration with Aaron Kaplan and Sean Perrone of Kaplan/Perrone Entertainment.[6] In December 2014, Lesieur was set to write Keeping Up with the Joneses from Fox 2000 and Parkes + MacDonald Image Nation, with Greg Mottola directing.[7] In 2016, it was announced that Lesieur will be writing with Tommy Swerdlow[8] on an animated adaptation of Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas from Illumination Entertainment, directed by Scott Mosier (who replaced Pete Candleland in early 2018)[9] and Yarrow Cheney with a planned release on November 9, 2018 (formerly planned on November 10, 2017).[10][11]
In 2020, LeSieur has been tapped to adapt The Havana Job into a series from Trioscope Studios.[12] In 2024, LeSieur is set to co-write an animated film, Muttnik, for Paramount Animation with Christopher Yost and Michael McCullers.[13] In 2025, LeSieur is set to write a character-driven spy thriller, The English Tutor, from Zeta Studios, with Gary Alazraki directing and Ed Helms producing and starring in the film.[14]
