Maverick Mom is a four-piece rock band based in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan.
Overview
[edit]The band name “Maverick Mom” is a coined term combining “maverick,” meaning “lone wolf” or “nonconformist,” and “Mom,” derived from “moment.”[1]

History

[edit]Maverick Mom was formed on April 2, 2022.[1]
On August 9, the band won a national high school amateur band competition held at Hitachi Seaside Park, which served as a qualifying event for an appearance at Rock in Japan Festival 2022.[1]
On August 11, they performed as the opening act at Rock in Japan Festival 2022.[2]
On December 23, they released their first mini-album, Energy.[citation needed]
2023
[edit]On March 4, Maverick Mom held their first solo hall concert at Matto Cultural Hall Piino in their home prefecture of Ishikawa, drawing an audience of more than 1,100 people.[3]
On March 18, they performed as the opening act at Live the Speedstar, held at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall 9–11.
On June 4, they performed as the opening act at Hyakumangoku Music Festival: Million Rock Festival.[1]
On November 15, they released their second mini-album, Unknown.[4]
On December 23, they held a solo concert titled Second Fanfare at Kanazawa AZ in their hometown area.[5]
