  • Comment: Thank you for improving this article, and apologies for the long time waiting for a review. There is a minor issue with the sourcing, you can't source back to Wikipedia, under WP:CIRCULAR.
    But the bigger problem is that of notability. There are 8 criteria, and it's not obvious that any apply. The nearest is criteria 6, but WEBT does not appear to be a major institution or society. If there is a criteria that matches then kindly source that and resubmit the article. The other options are WP:GOLDENRULE, which would need 3 profiles of the subject in independent media. Or perhaps WP:NAUTHOR if the subject's books have been reviewed independently and at length, that needs 4 such reviews over 2 books. ChrysGalley (talk) 17:02, 4 March 2026 (UTC)
  • Comment: Sorry, but the sources need to verify specific statements in the sentences they go with. When I did some checking [3] is about the telescope not him; [4] does not verify that he worked as a research scientist until retirement; [5] is broken and [6] does not verify that he was President. Thank you for your patience. Please, see the revised version. I have a little problem with the citations for the affiliation with the Osservatorio Astrofisico di Torino - Istituto Nazionale di Astrofisica (INAF), meaning I don't know which ones to use. References 3 and 4 (from Media INAF) that I cited cover a certain period (2015-2024), while reference 5 covers the entire period: 1995-2026, but it's the list of peer-reviewed publications extracted from the Astrophysics Data System (where you can access all papers, which show the affiliation), and I'm not sure if it's appropriate. Several other articles on Media INAF (not cited) also show the affiliation, in addition to references 1, 2, 6, 7, 16, 17, and 18, which I cited elsewhere for other reasons. Any suggestions? Massimo Villata is an Italian astrophysicist. He has been associated with the international collaboration Whole Earth Blazar Telescope (WEBT), and has published research on CPT symmetry and antimatter gravity.[1][2]

Academic career

Villata has been affiliated with the Osservatorio Astrofisico di Torino (OATo), which later became part of the Istituto Nazionale di Astrofisica.[3][4] He has been affiliated with this institution since 1994. His peer-reviewed publications are indexed in databases, such as the SAO/NASA Astrophysics Data System (ADS).[5]

Villata has been involved in the WEBT and served as its president.[6][7][8]

Results from WEBT campaigns coordinated by Villata and his collaborators have been published in peer-reviewed journals such as Astronomy & Astrophysics and Nature[8] and have been discussed in review articles on blazar variability and high-energy astrophysics published in The Astronomy and Astrophysics Review.[9][10]

Observational results and their interpretation obtained by the WEBT have also received editorial coverage in Nature Astronomy.[11]

Theoretical work in gravitation and cosmology

In parallel with his observational research, Villata has carried out theoretical studies in general relativity and cosmology, focusing on CPT symmetry and the possible gravitational behavior of antimatter. These ideas were first presented in his paper “CPT symmetry and antimatter gravity in general relativity”,[2] which was followed by a series of subsequent articles.[12]

Villata’s theoretical work has been discussed in independent academic literature, including review articles and monographs on gravitation, antimatter gravity, and quantum gravity phenomenology,[13][14][15] and has appeared on online journals of scientific information such as Phys.org, Universe Today, and National Geographic.[16][17][18]
