Mari Menezes is a Brazilian digital influencer and presenter. She became known on social media in 2021 after gaining attention for her efforts to meet influencer Virginia Fonseca, an episode that went viral on social media.[1][2]
Career
[edit]Menezes gained wider attention in September 2021 after documenting her efforts to meet Virginia Fonseca at the launch event for Fonseca's cosmetics brand in São Paulo. Without an invitation, Menezes remained outside the event with a sign identifying herself as "Mari do Prexecão" and eventually entered the event and met Fonseca.[3]
The episode generated widespread attention on social media and contributed to an increase in Menezes' following. Contemporary reports described her as a TikTok creator and influencer and noted that she had gained hundreds of thousands of followers following the viral episode.[4]
In 2025, Menezes was described by CNN Brasil as an influencer whose content included lifestyle, travel, family life and professional activities. The publication also reported that she had become a presenter on the podcast PodCats, alongside Camila Loures.[5]
In 2026, Menezes received attention for producing social media content during the FIFA World Cup in the United States. A June 2026 report by TMC stated that she had reached 10 million followers on social media while covering the tournament.[6]
