Inanimate Insanity is an American web series created by Adam Katz, inspired by Battle for Dream Island. The first episode was uploaded to YouTube on April 1, 2011. The show currently has 59 episodes and is still running.

A disclaimer is shown before MePhone4, a parody of the iPhone 4, announces Inanimate Insanity, with the prize of 1 million dollars. 14 anthropomorphic objects are tasked with jumping off a cliff for a reality show. However, they must land in the water. Balloon and Lightbulb end up making it, and they are allowed to form the teams in the next episode. | ||||

OJ listens to Pepper whine about Salt before Salt comes and goes to hug, before colliding with OJ. As Balloon demands for a prize for winning last season, MePhone reminds him of team forming. Two teams are formed; Team Epic[b] and Team Chickenleg.[c] The next contest is to put the most lemons in the teams basket from "lemon trees". Team Chickenleg wins after Taco barfs lemons, causing the team to have more lemons then Team Epic. At the Elimination Area, contestants are allowed to vote for one to be eliminated. Knife and Paper both tie in votes, thus a tiebreaker is former by putting them on a platform suspended by a lake. Knife throws various objects at Paper before throwing a piano at him, causing him to be eliminated. | ||||

Knife throws Marshmallow due to her being weak, despite her pleas not to. Knife throws her and pops Balloon on accident. MePhone announces the Arena of Death as the challenge, where four people from both teams are randomly chosen, each on a different platform. Both teams need to throw rocks at each other to knock the other down. The last standing wins. Knife is knocked out first. Nickel knocks Pepper out, where salt jumps down in an attempt to save her. Paintbrush and Nickel are also knocked out. Baseball jumps off his platform in an attempt to knock Taco out, but Taco spits out a lemon from the previous episode, hitting Baseball and declaring Team Chickenleg the winners. At the elimination area, Baseball is eliminated. | ||||

Balloon, OJ and Bomb form an alliance with eachother. The next contest is a slingshot contest, where the goal is to launch a teammate over a cliff, and if they land in the gorge, they lose. Team Chickenleg wins again, and Team Epic loses. MePhone however, announces viewer voting instead of contestant voting. | ||||

Lightbulb is eliminated with 64 votes. The next challenge is to stack golfballs. Players who couldn't would be up for elimination, and that teams would be broken up. Bomb, Salt, Pickle, and Balloon finish their stack, with OJ to follow. MePhone announces two open spots left. Marshmallow nearly completes her stack until Nickel knocks it over, where he finishes his stack. Marshmallow, Knife, Pepper, and Taco are nominated for elimination. | ||||

MePhone is unable to start the next contest. As such, 10 debuters are introduced, where one of them will join the show. MePhone announces that within the next episode, they will compete for a spot in the show. Voting is suspended as well. | ||||

Knife is eliminated with 224 votes. Debuters battle for a spot in the show by using paintball guns. Teddy Bear goes onto a rampage, killing everyone but Apple, who did not know how to use her gun. Apple dodges every shot made by Teddy for 27 hours, before shooting Teddy and winning. The contest is split into three sections; Nickel and Bomb will cross a lake of elephant poop with platforms on them, Paintbrush and Pickle will climb up a ladder onto a platform and jump into a huge vat of guacamole, and Marshmallow and OJ will boardwalk over a gorge with a spinning saw. Whoever wins will get Apple on their team. Marshmallow ends up winning for Team Epic, Team Chickenleg is up for elimination and Apple debuts. It is also revealed that when viewers voted 70 votes for "Nick Le", they meant Nickel, thus disqualifying Nickel. Lightbulb hence rejoins. | ||||

Contestant voting returns for this episode, and Balloon is eliminated with 6 votes. OJ invites Pickle and Taco to be in their alliance, to which they say yes. The contest is to collect candy scattered around the field into their baskets, and whoever has the most candy wins. Team Epic is shown to have collected 235 candies. OJ and Bomb were the only ones to get candy, with the total 40, while Team Chickenleg did nothing, which puts the rest of the team up for elimination. Towards the end of the episode, Apple is seen eating trash, where MePhone tells her to go away. MePhone4S, a parody of the iPhone 4S, appears and tells MePhone to go away. | ||||

Taking place from the last episode, MePhone4S flexes to MePhone with his newer technology. MePhone4S takes out a plate of cookies, where MePhone grabs one. MePhone4S yells to put the cookie down and shoots MePhone, killing him. MePhone4S then announces new ownership. At elimination, Pepper is eliminated with 102 votes. 4S announces the break up of teams again, and the contest is announced to be crossing over quicksand. Marshmallow receives immunity after sinking Apple to use as a platform to get by. OJ and Taco also get through and receive immunity. During the contest, OJ tells Marshmallow and Taco about his hatred to 4S. Marshmallow then reveals a time machine that she had bought from Walmart. A button is pressed, and the three begin to time travel, where they travel to November 30, the day of MePhone's death. They appear behind a bush, where Marshmallow suggests that they pause time and replace MePhone with a dummy bought from Walmart. As 4S shoots his gun, time is paused, and MePhone is replaced with a dummy as OJ grabs him. Back at the challange, Paintbrush and Apple knock over salt and cross over her. 4S announces that only one spot remains. Bomb asks Salt why she isnt trying, to which Salt slaps Bomb, causing him to explode and launch Salt over the Quicksand. As a result, Bomb and Lightbulb are up for elimination. MePhone appears and confronts 4S, to which they have a brawl. MePhone ends up pushing 4S into the quicksand, sinking him for good. | ||||

Lightbulb is eliminated with 120 votes. The contest is to get a Christmas Tree using axes provided. OJ and Salt attempt to cross a frozen lake in order to get a tree on the other side. Marshmallow dresses up as Santa Claus and walk over to Apple, who is convinced that Santa is not real. Apple demands to sit on her lap, to which Marshmallow refuses. Apple knocks down Marshmallow and Paintbrush revealing on who they are. After realizing that Paintbrush and Marshmallow were tricking her, Apple ran off crying again. OJ and Salt eventually get a tree after failing numerous times. OJ and Taco begin to decorate the tree and end up finishing the decorations. MePhone announces Team Chickenleg wins the contest. MePhone then announces that a rejoin will occur, and that viewers can vote on who rejoins from Idiotic Island. | ||||

MePhone heads to Idiotic Island to announce the rejoin will occur. A pink bowtie named Bow jumps up happilly, where MePhone tells her that she is not a contestant. Bow is launched away, and everyone is flung to the Elimination Area. At the Elimination Area, Paper rejoins with 97 votes. The next contest is to cross a desert named "The Cacti Desert", where it includes cactuses, electric fences, quicksand and a monster named the "Cacti Dessert Monster". | ||||

OJ builds a Hotel named Hotel OJ, where the contestants party. While the contestants are having fun, a loud noise heard. Everybody rushes outside to see a plane with MePhone4 on it. MePhone jumps down, and congratulates OJ. The plane crashes into a building. OJ shatters, and a group of objects fall out of the plane. MePhone then announces a second season of Inanimate Insanity. Various contestants go onto the second season. The first contest is to survive being on a large glacier. | ||||

While the second season is underway, a group of contestants travel to an island via boat to a promised Spoiled Lemons concert. Instead, they are greeted by MePhone, who announces a new season with fan made contestants. 3 teams are created; Blue Team,[d] Pink Team[e] and Yellow Team.[f] The challenge is to jump off a 60 foot cliff. Blue Team loses. Contestant Elimination is set for the season, and Blueberry is eliminated. | ||||

A group of characters, including season 1 failed debuters, are stuck in MePhone4’s void, playing basketball to get out. Bell is deleted, and the rest are sent to the “new society”, receiving a tour across the area after watching a play. Fan, seeing the new characters seeming miserable, proposes a season 4 of Inanimate Insanity to the “O.S.C.”, a group of the 3 winners who lead the society. The idea is accepted, and it is announced at Purgatory Mansion; a piece of corn named Poppy hears this and introduces themself. | ||||

Poppy accidentally starts a mob mentality, with most contestants believing they were Steve Cobs. After calming down, a total of 24 contestants decide to join the game; 14 returning characters and 10 newbies. The challenge is to come up with one word to describe yourself, and talk to each other contestant for a minute without using your word. Afterwards, the words are announced and contestants earn 1 point for each person who guessed them correctly and each who they guessed correctly. The bottom 6 are up for elimination, and Paper spins a wheel which can determine if they gain immunity, a penalty, or no punishment; Paper receives none. Jack is eliminated, and, out of anger, he throws something at Test Tube, causing a near-death incident. | ||||

Jack is sent to trial, the case ending with the next challenge being required to teach safety. Newly-formed teams are challenged to come up with names to win a prize. Circumspect wins, and receives a TV. Next, teams must complete a multi-part race with six stages. Jack decides to assist Circumspect, and Heavy Metal Pop Stars lose the challenge. MeTag is eliminated due to the team believing they sabotaged them in the challenge, causing MeTag to run off with Poppy. | ||||

Fan and Bot are chasing after MeTag and Poppy. During the chase, Fan gets struck by lightning, so O.J. takes over hosting and teams are challenged to make a get-well gift for Fan. Jack chooses to assist Heavy Metal Pop Stars, who end up losing the challenge. Poppy spins the wheel and receives immunity, causing Lightbulb to be eliminated. | ||||
